PARIS, October 20, 2010 (AFP) - Senator Louis UMP Negro, a specialist in transportation issues, on Wednesday called for a "Grenelle of the railway" which would allow all industry players to make the dish problems.
"I appeal to the Grenelle rail," he said when presenting a report on the future of rail freight in the Senate.
"We'll have a little trouble keeping objectives of the Round Table (environment, ie) we have Voted "noted Mr. Negro, noting that it will be difficult to achieve all planned high-speed lines while renewing the traditional network.
" If we are not able to do both as we thought to do at the beginning, what will be the top priority? "he asked.
" I wish we had a long-term, perhaps more ambitious and more + grenellienne + that we had, "added Senator of the Alpes-Maritimes.
Louis Negro has advocated including the debt of the railway system - now carried by Réseau Ferré de France (RFF) - is echoed by state.
In its report presented by Senator of Bas-Rhin Francis Grignon (UMP), the Senate Task Force on the future of rail freight made nine proposals, structured around three pillars: strengthening the quality of service rail operators, improving the organization of the railway system, and the search for sustainable sources of funding.
It calls in particular on the station to make more commercial efforts to meet the demands of its customers and is considering a public subsidy for the trafficking of "wagons" (serving a la carte) on smaller lines, which wants to abandon the national airline.
Regarding the network structure, especially Mr. Grignon wants to "put the package on port services and subsidize lines connecting businesses.
